I think John McAfee wants to be “the disappointment of 2020.” For nearly three years, he has maintained that in 2020 we will pay $1 million for 1 BTC. And now he’s withdrawn from his plant and says it was all just a kind of… prank.
Recall that an eccentric businessman claimed in 2017 that by the end of 2020 we would have to pay as much as $1 million for one BTC. If the cryptographer wasn’t going to cost that much, McAfee was going to cut off his penis and, with more or less taste, eat it in front of the viewers. Not so long ago he kept his bet. But now… he withdrew from it.

The profession of McAfee’s fans will now be all the greater because the biggest fan of BTC under the sun, as we thought, turned out to be a poser. In his latest Twitter post he states that Bitcoin is an ancient technology and compares the world’s first crypto to the Ford T, the first car to be produced on tape. In short, BTC has paved the way, but will not remain the market leader.
So why this whole plant about the future price of Bitcoin? Here, McAfee also proved to be a cynical player. The bet was supposedly created only to attract more media attention to the market. We suspect that it was only to promote John himself, who was eagerly featured in the media for his price forecast.

New projects and the fight for the White House
It’s worth recalling that McAfee wants to fight for the US presidency for the second time. He admits that he has no chance, but he wants to introduce the topic of blockchain and cryptocurrencies to mainstream media.
Moreover, on 26 July he admitted that he wants not only to be a candidate for the American president, but also dreams of becoming the prime minister of Great Britain at the same time. He stresses that he is one of the few people who can achieve this. He wrote on Twitter:
“Can a person run for President of the United States and Prime Minister of Great Britain at the same time? Yes. Absolutely. No doubt. But I believe I’m one of the few people still alive who qualify for this combined position.”
Besides, he recently took off with his decentralized crypto exchange.
